Revealing the remarkable charity work of former Arsenal star Mesut Özilf – saving 1,000 children’s lives and feeding 100,000 homeless people

In addition to being one of the wealthiest football players in the world, MESUT Ozil is also one of the most giving.

After joining Arsenal six years ago for £42.5 million from Real Madrid, Ozil has become one of the team’s highest paid players.

With an annual salary of £18.2 million, Ozil’s income would decrease by £2.3 million.

Last year, Ozil’s agent, Dr. Erkut Sogut, disclosed that some of his deeds of compassion include:

Funding 1,000 essential surgeries for kids worldwide

Supplying 100,000 destitute at 16 camps for refugees in Turkey and Syria

Funding procedures for sick children in Brazil with a contribution of £240,000 to the children’s charity Rays of Sunshine

On the day of his marriage to Amine Gulse, the former Miss Turkey, Ozil pledged to fund 1,000 surgeries for underprivileged children worldwide.

Then, he said to me, “I want to do this bigger,” during the World Cup the previous year. Let’s perform 1,000 surgeries and transform the lives of 1,000 children.

“This will cost you millions,” I remarked. But he retorted, asking, “If not now, when will I share my money?” And who is it with?

“Mesut was raised in extreme poverty, with his mother working two jobs as a cleaner every day. He is aware of what it’s like to be without anything.

“See, Erkut, I make so much money, I can’t spend it all on myself, so I can give much more,” he remarked.

“I am a football player, and I am privileged,” Ozil acknowledged. Amine and I will cover the cost of 1,000 underprivileged children’s surgery.

In addition, he fed a startling 100,000 needy individuals at 16 refugee camps and shelters in Turkey and Syria as a wedding day gift.

Ozil, 35, covered the cost of the dinners, Sogut coordinated the large-scale takeout arrangement, and the Red Cross supplied the food to the locations.

The 44-year-old Sogut continued, “This is my wedding present to the world. Mesut told me.” The food is on me today.

That day, Mesut lost a significant sum of money. However, he had a strong sense of passion for it.

In collaboration with the BigShoe charity, Ozil had already contributed his 2014 World Cup winnings, or roughly £240,000, to pay for surgery for twenty-three sick Brazilian youngsters.

A video that Sogut holds dear shows some of the needy people in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, sending passionate thank-you messages to Ozil.

The agency traveled to Devrek, the Turkish village where Ozil’s parents were born, last year. There, the Arsenal number ten is constructing a five-story football academy for the community.

In addition, Ozil volunteers for a Barnet hospice and the children’s charity Rays of Sunshine. Five of the fifteen seats in his Emirates box are always set aside for charitable causes.
