Stephen Warnock was not impressed with Darwin Nunez during the first half of Liverpool’s Premier League game against Fulham on Sunday.
Nunez appeared to dive in an attempt to win a penalty kick on multiple occasions.
Referee Stuart Attwell was not fooled by Nunez’s simulation but neither did he show the Uruguayan a yellow card.
However, former Liverpool defender Warnock felt that Attwell should have penalized Nunez.
Speaking on BBC Sport’s Radio 5 Live, Warnock said: “There has been a few times now that Nunez has thrown himself to the ground looking for a foul.
“Book him. We need to eliminate that from the game.”

Liverpool twice took the lead during the first half – thanks to stunning strikes by Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alexis Mac Allister.
But Fulham back quickly on both occasions with equalizers from Harry Wilson and Kenny Tete.
Bobby Decordova-Reid then headed Fulham in front in the 80th minute.
But late goals from Wataru Endo and Alexander-Arnold saw Liverpool win a thrilling game 4-3.
Warnock made 67 first-team appearances for Liverpool between 2004 and 2007.
Nunez joined Liverpool from Benfica in June 2022. The 24-year-old scored 15 goals in 42 games in all competitions last season.
Prior to Sunday’s game, he had netted seven times in 19 matches this season.
